In his latest publication "Waking the Sleeping Giant" Francesco De Meo describes how to create a healthy healthcare system if we really want it. Overload, scarce financial resources, too much bureaucracy - the worrying conditions in the German healthcare system, which has itself become a patient, have been apparent for a long time. In order to improve the ailing healthcare system, the self-imposed limits and rigid structures must be broken down. Francesco De Meo uses many examples from his personal practice and concrete ideas to show how a transformation to an efficient healthcare system can succeed. He is convinced that good healthcare systems can only be sustainable if they are accessible and affordable for all, provide high-quality care, use modern technologies and invest the increasingly scarce money wisely. The publication is a wake-up call away from preserving stagnation and towards active transformation.
